Tick and Flea Control From Mosquito Squad of Central Middlesex & Monmouth County
It’s important to remember that in addition to protecting ourselves against the dangers of mosquitoes, we should also be protecting our families and pets from ticks and fleas.
You don’t have to be walking in the woods to be bitten by a tick! Ticks harbor in brush and wood piles, tall grass and under decks in our own back yards. Lyme Disease isn’t the only vector-borne disease carried by ticks. Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Ehrlichiosis are among several tick-borne illnesses common in New Jersey.
We’re proud to offer a Granular Tick treatment. This can be added on to any one of our services or used as a stand-alone treatment. The Granular Tick treatment will control ticks (and ants!) in landscaped areas to keep the tick population down. It is recommended to repeat applications in the spring and fall for maximum protection.
Many people think of fleas as just a nuisance, but they can also be a danger to our families and pets. They are considered vectors as well and are known to spread diseases and parasites such as tapeworm. While Mosquito Squad’s Barrier spray works to eliminate adult fleas, our Preventative Flea Treatment will take care of it from the start by disrupting the successful development of the insect by concentrating on fleas in the larva and egg stage.
